Ahmed Bessaoud
Language is the most prominent cultural and anthropological manifestation of human societies, and the survival of the nation is linked to the survival and immortality of this language. Therefore, political independence alone is not sufficient to establish the identity of a nation; As long as its tongue follows the tongue of others, every nation that does not use its mother tongue as a means of intellectual and cultural development and a tool for creation and creativity remains a nation lagging behind the civilizational pace. Therefore, the issue of Arabization in Algeria is considered one of the major issues that Algeria sought to achieve in order to confirm its identity and build its character. “Arabization is a correction of the artificial linguistic situation that was created by the colonial regime, and therefore it - that is, Arabization - is an integral part of the great battle of national liberation. It is also a correction of the situation.” A sound linguist must respond to the desires of the Algerian people.” To realize this demand, there were stages and serious attempts to embody Arabization on the ground.
