The linguistic Issues journal follows specific procedures to prevent plagiarism and detect scientific misconduct. The journal adopts a strict policy when dealing with proven cases of plagiarism. This policy aims to ensure integrity and respect for the intellectual property rights of authors and maintain the quality of articles submitted for publication.

When using other sources, authors must accurately identify the material taken from them by using quotation marks and citing them properly according to the article template and author guidelines.

Moreover, the amount of quoted material used in articles should be limited and moderate, and the use of any text that exceeds the allowed standards is prohibited. If any visual material from another source needs to be used, permission must be obtained from the copyright holder, and the source should be clearly documented.

To verify compliance with this policy, all submitted research papers will be checked using the "Turnitin" software to determine the similarity index and ensure that there is no case of plagiarism.

Based on the correspondence of the General Directorate of Scientific Research and Technological Development No. 776 dated: 09/12/2023, the “Detectia” platform of the company “Abysoft” was approved as a software to measure the citation rate in the scientific works that the journal receives within the ASJP platform.

This policy contributes to enhancing integrity and credibility in scientific research and encourages the submission of authentic and innovative articles that contribute to enriching knowledge in various research fields.

In the event of proven plagiarism, the Editor-in-Chief will take the necessary actions based on a plan based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, available at the following link:

Plagiarism is determined based on the observed similarity percentage with other scientific works as follows:

If the similarity percentage is equal to or exceeds 30%, the article will be rejected due to the proven plagiarism.

If the percentage is less than 30% and more than 10%, the author will be asked to improve the article by modifying its content and providing proper scientific documentation.

If the percentage is less than 10%, it is not considered plagiarism, and the article will be sent for peer review accordingly.
