Ibrahim Ahmed Mohammed Safi
The research aims to study the thesis ‘The Status of the Name ‘Allah’ as a Proper Noun’ and Shihabud Deen Al Khafaaji’s edition of its original manuscript. It is an interdisciplinary subtle study in which the author discusses the difference between Al Ta’ayyun and Al Tashakhus as two philosophical terms, the areas where they have synonymous and antonymous meanings, and how this would allow for applying the title ‘Shakhs’ (person) to the Divine Being, exploring the orthodox traditional view and the speculative theological view. The study also investigates into indefinite and definite nouns and the points of their intersection.
The researcher employed a historical inductive approach to introduce the author and verify the manuscript's authorship, and adopted a descriptive method to present the author's methodology and style, and a documentary approach to cite the author's references and cross-references.
